WEMA Glauchau at GrindTec 2016

From 16 to 19 March 2016 WEMA Glauchau will be presenting itself at GrindTec 2016 in Hall 3, Stand 3162.

Highly precise complete machining and exceptional surface precision

Grinding centres of WEMA Glauchau with exceptional multi-functionality

The universal machining equipment from Glauchau is more than just a simple grinding machine. The SU series convinces with its exceptionally wide range of functions. It is designed for highly precise complete machining work on rotational symmetrical components.

WEMA Glauchau will be demonstrating the complete range of machining operations available on the WOTAN® S3U grinding machine at GrindTec 2016. The machine’s system has a completely integrated tool changer with 5 slots. An additional position in the three-mandrel internal grinding unit has been reserved to clamp the tool, allowing the use of a total of 7 tools for internal grinding work. This combination enables a wide range of user-specific machining applications. In this way a fully integrated tool machining operation can be performed even in the most confined spaces – from internal and external grinding operations to measuring, boring, countersinking and other machining work with geometrically determined cutting edges.

In the larger machine version (WOTAN® S6U) these machines possess an automatic tool changer with up to 70 slots.

The WEMA Glauchau trade fair machine was jointly built together with a renowned machine building company from Esslingen to enable a double-digit increase in the efficiency of its complex production processes. The downsizing of the established concept was tied to a systematic further development of the existing technology: The implementation on smaller machine versions will definitely be of benefit to customers with low flexibility requirements or little financial scope.

With its presentation at GrindTec 2016, WEMA is demonstrating the benefits of its grinding centres to an international audience of trade experts.

According to WEMA’s managing director Ronald Krippendorf, GrindTec represents a major forum for contacting users and decision makers: “With our demonstration machine WOTAN® S3U we would like to enable you to gain a direct impression of our machining expertise and the great flexibility of this machine«..

Through its grinding centres and comparable innovations, WEMA Glauchau has been able to develop an excellent reputation in the machine tool industry during the past two decades. This enabled the company with its long-standing tradition which was mainly established in Germany and Eastern Europe to now also position itself in Western Europe as a highly efficient specialty supplier. WEMA Glauchau has been a member of the international NSH Group since 2013 and has successfully added its know-how in grinding work to the group’s range of products.
